Why is it that somehow, just somehow, with Japan so close, their cars seem to be able to slip by the Philippines and travel to the other side of the world to be sold in the US? Why? The Nissan Cube, which Nissan has plans of importing to the US this year, is another fine example of the black hole that sucks good cars and sends them to the other side of the world. Is it cheaper to transport goods to the US insted of here, 3000 kilometers close, Philippines?

As the Nissan Cube makes its trip to the US later this year to be sold to lucky Americans, all we can do is wonder (again) as to what the force behind getting good cars to the Philippines is doing? The Nissan Cube is a good little car and sells well in Japan. It’s aimed at the younger female category of drivers, who are quite abundant here in the Philippines -quite abundant! In the US it may be marketed to both the younger male and female generation, of which we have an ample supply of in the Philippines - ample supply! So why not import the funky little car and start a trend? Get back in the game of being cool.
Import the Nissan Cube and put it up against the Toyota Vios and Honda City. Mitsubishi doesn’t have an offering for the category so don’t worry about them. The Vios and City look similar, but the Nissan Cube stands out! Now that’s different. That’s a nice change to the scenery. That modern boxy design would surely draw buyers away from the norm.
The Nissan Cube is a good little car, unfortunately not everything good is sent our way.
