The forum is slowly but surely coming alive again. Just working on the database as it was accidentally overwritten by an installation of PHPBB3 going to the wrong directory. It will be up and running again soon, just have to fix the tables. But it will be running PHPBB3 from now on.

Also notice the new menu and categories? Hmmm looks like fun :)

Stay Tuned!

Nothing much has been happening here at Nissan Forums Philippines. Mainly because changes are on their way. The forum is down - an upgrade maybe? The layout is messy - a washover paintjob maybe? There’s nothing new to read - restructured content maybe?

Who knows?!

But let’s wait and see what comes drifting ’round the corner soon…

In what could be the first time a GT-R was redesigned into a Skyline, Nissan is considering a four door GT-R for Infiniti. Previous iterations of the Skyline spawned the GT-R variant - run-of-the-mill Skylines were shortened and added considerable upgrades to turn it into the Godzillas we all loved. But if Nissan pushes through with the plan, it’ll be the first time that a GT-R is the mule for a future “Skyline”.

Maybe it wont be as much a Skyline as the current Infiniti Skyline is. Possibly it will carry a different nameplate and be marketed towards a different crowd. Or it may just be the future replacement of the current Skyline. Whatever Nissan decides on, fanboys all over will be happy if it rolls off the assembly line. And considering the concept art below, a stretched GT-R looks pretty good. Although the first picture sort of resembles the Chrysler 300 - sort of, and is reminiscent of the R34 Skyline sedan.

Most of you who are really into the GTR scene already know about the recent first ever GTR crash. You may not know that it happened in Hong Kong on Wah Shun Street in a place called Hung Hom on Kowloon Island. If the driver of the GTR was reckless when he was behind the wheel of the GTR then he shouldn’t be allowed to drive another car till he proves he’s earned the right to do so again. If it was purely an accident then at least we know the GTR protects its passengers very well. But considering the amount of damage to the front end of the car in the pictures below, the driver must have been going pretty fast when he crashed.
