Good question, there are quite a few people looking for that particular engine. But a few weeks ago I came across someone selling one for 70K - eninge, transmission, wiring and accessories. Not sure about the condition as I saw it on Sulit.

@AZeus hehe nice find... but see, THAT IS NOT THE FINAL COST of the car.
Believe me, I'll even bet my car, there is no way you can get a Silvia although it's 1990 for 70k gran. 1st the website you just got hooked up is an auction based one, usually price would be very low then it will go higher and higher and sold to the highest bidder(A friend lives in Tokyo that is why I know :)), but sometimes there are occasions where there are really good bargains there. Plus there are a lot of hidden costs for that like duties and taxes, including unpaid ones, handling fee, shipping fee. hehe good luck.
By the way if your interested on some jdm parts there for cars like Silvia, Z, even GTR or even a Silvia car itself maybe I can help. :)Posted 6 months ago # -
@GodziRRa, starting price is 13yen end price was 150,000 yen. that's cheap considering it got only 46T kilometer on it and 1993 model at that. extra charges would be, shipping from seller to my place would be around 15T yen, bank fees 550yen, yahoo gets 300yen add another 60T-75T yen for insurance, registration (Shaken), name transfer and new plate number. add another 6T yen monthly for your parking space.
look here for other silvia at yahoo auction. http://list1.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/%e3%82%b7%e3%83%ab%e3%83%93%e3%82%a2-%e6%97%a5%e7%94%a3-%e8%87%aa%e5%8b%95%e8%bb%8a%e8%bb%8a%e4%bd%93-%e8%87%aa%e5%8b%95%e8%bb%8a-%e3%82%aa%e3%83%bc%e3%83%88%e3%83%90%e3%82%a4/2084022943-category-leaf.html?alocale=0jp&mode=2&apg=1
JDM parts? I think its available here locally in Japan as well as Nismo parts. anyway thanks for the offer.Posted 6 months ago # -
Well that is if you live in Japan, coz you posted it up like any person living here here in Manila can get a silvia like you said add 6t and get the whole car (76k pesos total). Can I find a Silvia here for at that amount? I don't think so.
As for the parts locally, we are not complete here... can even find some oem bits and pieces and even aftermarket foe a Silvia, etc. Do you have a contact where can I get oem or aftermarket parts for jdm sportscars readily available?

@AZeus05
Just found out that the Silvia S13 you posted is Q's meaning it's NOT SR20DET but an N.A version w/c is the SR20DE that explains the final bid amount. Remember not all Silvias are turbo. :-)By the way, just talked to a friend who is into importing just now, the cheapest S13 they had sold so far was a 1990 model, K's (meaning engine is SR20DET) was 280K and that was a car w/ 90,000 kms on the mileage. I would not say cheap but it is a very reasonable price. ;-)
We then discussed about importing cars, He told be a price of an imported car will not be based on what is the price of the car where it is based from.. well just like my previous point. :-) for example a jdm car w/ a GROSS price tag of 200k Yen (meaning it already includes domestic duties and taxes handling fee etc.), will not be valued 100K pesos here. Because we must take into consideration now the Philippines' version of duties and taxes, shipping, economic & market situation, etc. these computed cost by the customs will be added to the car's price.. now that's what we call landed cost.
Even economic and market situation will come into play in the car's srp, reminds me of another thread by dude normae26 is wondering why in the U.S the price of cars there are different. Di kasi pwedeng direct currency conversion lang, well that's the lesson here. :-)

Godzirra,
P280k for a Silvia 1990? what about S14 or S15 how much does it cost? Thanks

If your going to buy an S14 better go w/ our PHDM models meaning locally launched ones w/ orig LHD. It sells around 500 to 700 depends o condition and mileage. ;-)
The S15 would be a bit more expensive, but remember they are all converted since there are no LHD S15s.. But price would be 700k up, coz like dude AZeus05 there are a lot of good bargains in Japan. Kasi people there tend to sell their used cars at a very low price just to dispose of it, because the older the car is in Japan, the higher it's tax will be.Posted 6 months ago # -
